These Rules are to be followed by ALL members of our community. If you refuse to follow these Rules, it may lead to warning points distributed to your forum account, and once you have 5, you will be automatically banned from the forums for 2 weeks. Because of this, we’d recommend you read our Rules carefully before using our website. Thanks in advance.
[1] Respect everyone
You might have the occasional fallout with a friend, but we do not condone arguments that are invalid in threads, or any behavior that players may take offense to. We also do not allow you to use curse words or any language that may be offensive to other players.
[2] Do not Advertise
You are NOT permitted to advertise other server names or server IP’s, unless requested by a Staff Member. This includes, but is not limited to: mentioning a server name during a conversation, mentioning the IP of another server, intentional or unintentional, using a shorter version of a server name to talk about said server.
[3] Do not Rate-Farm
Rate-Farming is when you use a separate account to give your main account free ratings. Staff members are able to check for alternative accounts. Any suspicious activity may lead to a reset of your ratings and possible bans across accounts.
[4] Do not Post-Farm
Post-farming is when you post unnecessary or unrelated comments in a thread, commonly used to increase one’s post count. This includes, but is not limited to: posting comments that are not on topic to the thread, mini modding, not using the rating system or comments that could be PM'ed about. If you find someone breaking the Rules, use the report function, don't enforce the Rules yourself.
[5] Do not Double Post
Double-posting is when you comment on a thread, and reply to it again before anyone else has made a comment. Our only exception is when you are bumping a thread, which you are only allowed to do if 24 hours has passed since the last comment on the thread, and if you are the thread-creator.
[6] Do not Flame / Encourage Server Flame
Talking badly about ProjectParty, and trying to start flame on the forums, is unacceptable behaviour. Staff will not hesitate to distribute warning points to those who participate in server flame. An example of this would be, “This server sucks, the owner sucks, the Staff suck”. This is not appropriate and the Staff would give warning points based on the severity they believe the comment to be.
[7] Always use the correct Format
If a certain section of the forums has a Format, we would appreciate if you used the Format provided in that section. As well as looking neater, it will allow us to assess the situation more efficiently and solve your problem with fewer delays. Staff members have the right to lock a thread if you do not edit in the correct Format within 24 hours after being warned. Formats are usually found at the top right of the specific forums.
[8] Use common sense
As not every single rule can be listed here, we request that you use common sense and think carefully before you use our forums. We expect you to know when what you are posting is not appropriate for our forums.
These Rules are subject to change at any time without you receiving a notification, so we’d recommend that you come to this page every so often to check for any changes in the Rules. We are not responsible for any Rules you break that you were not aware of, as we expect you to read these Rules before using our forums. Thank you for reading our Rules, and we hope you will treat our forums with respect.
Sincerely,
ProjectParty Staff Team.
